Promoting your event

What promotion does

A promoted event is featured: it appears in the featured carousel on the home and explore pages for your location and is labelled as promoted. Promotion does not change search ranking rules beyond the featured placement.

Buy a promotion

1. Open your event › Promote (web: Manage › Events › event; app: Organizer › Events › event › Promote).
2. Choose a tier — durations run from 24 hours to one month; each tier shows its price before you pay.
3. Pay with a card, mobile money or a saved method. Where the Abonten Rewards programme is live and you hold promotion credit, checkout shows how much credit is applied and how much cash remains.
4. The promotion starts when payment is confirmed and runs for the purchased duration. Your active promotions appear under the event and in your transaction history.

Rules

• Promotions are not refundable once started, except where Abonten failed to deliver them.
• A listing that has been restricted, hidden or removed for breaking the rules cannot be promoted, and a promotion on a listing later removed is not refunded.
• A promotion on an event you cancel is not refunded.
