For customers
Getting started and signing in
Abonten Hub works in your browser at abontenhub.com and as the Abonten app on Android. (An iPhone version is not yet available.) You can browse events and places without an account; you need one to buy tickets, message, book, review or save things.
Three ways to sign in
There are no passwords on Abonten. Choose whichever is easiest:
| Method | What happens |
|---|---|
| You pick a Google account and come straight back signed in. | |
| Phone number | Enter your number (Ghana is selected by default). We text you a short code; type it in and you are signed in. Codes expire after 5 minutes, and you can ask for a new one after 60 seconds. |
| Enter your address. We email you a 6-digit code; type it in and you are signed in. |
The first time you sign in we create your account automatically — there is no separate "sign up". If you later sign in with a different method that uses the same verified email address, you land in the same account. A phone-number account can add an email later in Settings › Security, which links the two.
Web: click Sign in in the header or side menu. App: the sign-in screen appears when you open the app, or from Account › Sign in.
Invite codes
If a friend gave you an invite link or code, open the link before you sign up (or type the code on the sign-in screen). Invite codes only work for new accounts, in their first week. Whether you receive a welcome credit depends on the Abonten Rewards programme being available to you — see Rewards and Abonten Credit.
Finding your way around
Website
- The header has search, the location you are exploring, and your profile menu.
- The side menu (☰) holds Create (for organizers), Messages, Rewards, Finances, Field work (when you are on an Abonten field team), Settings, and the legal links.
- My Tickets is under Manage › My Tickets.
App
- Five tabs: Home (what's on near you), Search, Tickets, Messages, Account.
- The drawer (swipe from the left edge or tap the menu button) repeats the main destinations and has the legal links.
- Account holds Settings, Notifications, Transactions, Wallet, Places, Rewards (when available), Organizer tools (once you have created something), and Help & support.
Language and appearance
Settings › Language offers English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese and Akan. Settings › Switch appearance chooses light, dark or system. Both are remembered on the device you set them on.
Signing out
Web: side menu › Sign out. App: Account › Sign out (this also stops push notifications for that device).
Trouble signing in?
- No code arrived — wait a minute, check the number or address you typed, then use Resend code. Email codes can land in spam. Codes expire after 5 minutes.
- "Too many attempts" — you can enter a code wrongly five times before it is cancelled; request a new one. Sending is also limited per hour to protect your number.
- Google sign-in fails — try again; if it keeps failing, use your phone number or email instead. The same email address reaches the same account.
- "Your account is restricted" — see Restricted accounts.
Contacting support
- In the app or on the website: open Messages and choose Contact Abonten Support (web) or Account › Help & support (app). Replies arrive as messages and notifications.
- If you cannot sign in: email support@abontenhub.com from the email address on your account.
- Hours: support is staffed Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 Ghana time (GMT), excluding public holidays. We aim to reply within two working days — this is a goal, not a guarantee. Abonten does not offer phone or 24/7 support.
