Account, privacy and safety

Restricted accounts

If you sign in and see "Your account is restricted" (web) or "Your account has been restricted" (app), an Abonten administrator has suspended or banned your account. While restricted you cannot use the service; the only actions available are signing out and contacting support.

Why it happens

Accounts are restricted for breaches of the Terms and Conditions — for example fraud or scams, fake listings, harassment, abuse of the rewards programme, repeated false reports, or a payment dispute raised in bad faith — or as a precaution when we suspect an account has been taken over.

Suspension vs ban

  • Suspended is temporary in intent: access is paused while something is investigated or corrected.
  • Banned is a final decision. Bans require a senior administrator to re-authenticate before they are applied.

Either way, every device is signed out at the moment the action is taken, and Abonten records who took the action and why.

Your tickets, events and money

Restriction does not delete anything. Tickets already issued remain records; refunds already requested continue; organizer earnings stay in the ledger, though payouts connected to the conduct in question may be withheld.

How to contact us

Abonten does not have a formal appeals form yet. Email support@abontenhub.com from the email address on your account (or, if you can still reach it, use the in-app support conversation). Explain what happened; an administrator with the right permission can review and, where appropriate, restore your account. Support is staffed Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 Ghana time, and we aim to reply within two working days (a goal, not a guarantee).

Restored accounts

If an administrator restores your account, you can sign in again immediately.
