Reviews and highlights
Reviewing an event
You can review an event when all of these are true:
- you are signed in and you are not the organizer;
- the event (or its last date) has ended and was not cancelled;
- you hold a ticket that was checked in at the event;
- you have not already reviewed it.
Events waiting for your review appear under My Tickets › To review (Manage › My Tickets on the web, Account › My Tickets in the app). A review has a star rating, an optional title (up to 150 characters), a comment (up to 500 characters) and optional photos. You can edit or delete your own review later.
Reviewing a place
Anyone signed in can review a place from its page; the same rating, title, comment and photo rules apply. One review per place per person — edit it rather than writing another.
Replies
The organizer or owner can post one public response to your review and may edit or remove it. They cannot delete your review. If a response is abusive, report it.
Reading reviews
An event or place page shows the average rating, how many reviews it has, and the three most helpful. See all reviews opens every review with:
- a breakdown of how many people gave 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 stars — tap a row (or a star filter) to see only those reviews;
- Most helpful (the default — reviews other people marked helpful first, newest first among equals) or Most recent.
Reviews also appear under the reviewer's public profile (Reviews tab). An edited review is marked Edited. Reviews that break the rules may be hidden or removed by Abonten; the author still sees their own hidden review.
Helpful votes
Tap Helpful on a review that helped you; tap again to take it back. Each person counts once per review. You can't vote on your own review, or on reviews of an event you organize or a place you own.
Sharing, reporting and blocking
Every review has a ⋯ menu:
- Share review sends a link that opens the reviews page with that review at the top (and in the app, if it's installed).
- Report review sends it to Abonten's moderation team — see Reporting a problem.
- Block hides that person's reviews from you, and neither of you can message the other; their Spotlights and comments are hidden from you too. They are not told. Unblock them any time in Settings › Blocked accounts.
On your own review the menu offers Edit, Share and Delete instead.
Drafts
If you close a review before posting it, it is saved as a draft and offered the next time you open the review form.
Highlights
Highlights are short photo or video stories on your profile, like a story ring. Post one from your profile page (web) or Account › your profile › add highlight (app): pick photos or a video, crop or trim, and upload — a progress bar shows the upload. You can delete a whole highlight or a single slide later. Viewers can report a highlight; there are no comments or reactions on highlights.
Rules
Reviews must be your own honest experience. Fake, paid-for, coordinated or self-reviews, and reviews containing harassment, hate or personal data about other people, are removed and may lead to account action. See the Terms and Conditions.
