Deleting your account

Before you delete

• Tickets: tickets you bought stay valid records, but you will no longer be able to open them in Abonten. Download any you still need.
• Organizers: you cannot delete your account while an upcoming event of yours still has attendees, while a payout to you is being processed, or while you have earnings waiting to be paid out. Cancel those events first (attendees are refunded and told) and request any available payout; the delete screen tells you which step is still open.
• Place owners: places you own stay listed but become unclaimed, so the next owner can claim them. If someone else should take a listing over, have them claim it first.
• Abonten Credit: any balance is forfeited and pending rewards are cancelled.

How to delete

Web: Settings › Security › Delete account. App: Settings › Security › Delete account, then confirm twice.

Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone. You are signed out everywhere. The same email address or phone number can be used to create a new account later; nothing from the old one carries over.

What is deleted

Your sign-in, name, username, photo, bio, phone and email, favourites, reminders, highlights, notifications and notification settings, drafts, and pending place claims. Saved cards and mobile-money numbers are removed (the details that could charge them are erased). Payout account details are erased. Draft events are deleted; upcoming events with nobody attending are cancelled; your other events are archived and no longer appear in discovery.

What is kept

For financial accountability, security and legal reasons Abonten keeps, against a profile shown as "Deleted user": payment transactions and tickets that were already issued, organizer ledger and refund records, reviews and messages you wrote, reports you filed, moderation and administrative logs, rewards ledger history, and — if you were on an Abonten field team or gave onboarding consent — that programme's audit records. Uninstalling the app

Removing the app from your phone does not delete your account; it only removes the app's local data and stops push notifications for that device.
